Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our embedded products team at SWARCO. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing team of engineers, providing mentorship, coaching, and career development opportunities.
  • Oversee the entire product development process, including design, development, testing, and launch.
  • Possess a deep understanding of embedded systems, hardware/software integration, and relevant technologies.
  • Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring on-time delivery and within budget.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and achieve project goals.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the development process.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering successful products, to timescale and budgets.
  • Strong technical expertise in embedded products, including hardware/software integration, real-time operating systems, and low-level programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of product certification CE/UKCA and Safety Standards.
  • Full UK driver's license is essential.
  • Right to live and work in the UK.
