A well-regarded secondary school in Southwark is seeking a skilled History Teacher to join their dedicated faculty in a full-time permanent position. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the school's dynamic History department, inspiring the next generation of passionate individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and rigorous History lessons, aligned with the national curriculum and school educational goals across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student curiosity, problem-solving, and collaboration.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the History department and across the school to enhance the learning experience.
  • Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in the field of History.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in History or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching History at the secondary level.

Remuneration & Benefits:

  • A competitive salary of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, aligned with the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), depending on experience and qualifications.
