Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in a lovely school in the Portsmouth area. As the successful candidate, you will support children with Special Educational Needs and work closely with experienced teachers to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The school caters for Primary aged children with complex needs, including Social and Communication difficulties, Speech and Language needs, learning difficulties, and Autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and numeracy, adapting materials and activities to suit individual needs.
  • Promote inclusion and diversity within the school community, respecting the individuality of each student.

Salary and Benefits:

  1. A competitive salary of £22,500-£28,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
  2. Part-time or full-time temporary positions, working during term time with hours from 08:30 - 15:30.
  3. The possibility of making this role permanent may become available at a later date.
