Job Description:


We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Bryan & Armstrong in Suffolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing health and safety advice, guidance and coaching to operational teams across various private and public sector contracts.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety Advice: Providing functional health and safety advice, guidance and coaching to operational teams.
  • Planning Meetings: Attending planning meetings to ensure HSE arrangements are appropriately considered and integrated.
  • Reporting: Producing health and safety project reports to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communication: Assisting the Project Management team in effective HSE communication to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Hazard Reporting: Supporting a culture of open hazard and near miss reporting through engagement with management and operatives and providing advice for positive action and feedback.
  • Risk Assessment: Reviewing subcontractor risk assessments and method statements to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Policies and Procedures: Assisting in the development of policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • KPI Implementation: Assisting each project with KPI implementation and compliance to ensure a high level of performance.
  • Safety Awards: Issuing monthly safety awards on allocated projects as per the project KPIs.
  • Client Meetings: Attending Client / Contractor Health and Safety meetings on site to ensure compliance and effective communication.
  • H&S Plans: Reviewing and developing Project H&S Plans to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate (Minimum), ideally diploma qualified or equivalent (or working towards).
  • Experience: Previous experience within the Highways maintenance, Infrastructure and/or Construction.
  • Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and strong engagement and management skills.

Compensation Package: A competitive salary range of £46-£56k + Car allowance + 28 days holiday + BH is offered to the successful candidate.
