About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Safety Advisor - Infrastructure to join our team in Suffolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering health, safety, and wellbeing advice to operational teams across various private and public sector contracts.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure health and safety arrangements are integrated into project plans through regular planning meetings.
  2. Develop and maintain accurate health and safety project reports to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Work closely with the Project Management team to deliver effective health and safety communication to stakeholders.
  4. Create a positive culture where hazards and near misses are reported and addressed promptly.
  5. Evaluate subcontractor risk assessments and method statements to ensure compliance with regulations.
  6. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure consistency and best practice.
  7. Support KPI implementation and compliance for each project, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
  8. Recognise and reward outstanding safety performance through monthly safety awards based on project KPIs.
  9. Represent the company at Client / Contractor Health and Safety meetings to promote a collaborative approach to health and safety.
  10. Regularly review and refine Project H&S Plans to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
Essential Requirements:
  1. A NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent qualification (ideally diploma level) is required.
  2. Previous experience within Highways maintenance, Infrastructure, and/or Construction is essential.
  3. The ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines is critical.
  4. Demonstrating strong engagement and management skills is vital for success in this role.

The estimated salary for this position is £46-£56k per annum, plus car allowance and 28 days holiday + BH.
