Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our Agency Team at Swallowcourt. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, according to their individual care plans.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account residents' dietary requirements and preferences.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging them in activities and promoting their independence.
- Monitor and record residents' conditions, reporting any changes to the senior care assistant or person in charge.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care plans.
- Administer medication, as required, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Provide support with personal care, including toileting, incontinence care, and wound management.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful team environment, promoting a culture of dignity and respect for all residents.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a care role, preferably in a residential setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the care home.
