Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Fellow to join our team at University Hospitals Dorset. This is a fixed-term appointment that will provide dedicated high-intensity training in interventional cardiology, suitable for trainees with at least 4 years of General Cardiology experience and first operator experience in coronary intervention.

Main Duties
  • Understand the role in more detail by reading the full job description and person specification documents attached to this advert.
  • Participate in audit and demonstrate technical skills in essential medical procedures, including CV line insertion, pleural taps, and transthoracic echocardiography.
  • Develop independent angiogram operator skills with a minimum of cases.
  • Contribute to research and publication in cardiology, particularly in intervention.
Person Specification
  • Qualifications: MRCP (UK) or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of general medical experience post-qualification and appropriate experience in cardiology.
  • Technical Skills: Must understand and demonstrate participation in audit, and possess technical skills in essential medical procedures.
