Job Summary

Lea Vale Medical Group is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the role of Prescription Clerk. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing of prescriptions and providing excellent patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Process repeat prescriptions on a daily basis, adhering to practice protocol.
  • Respond to prescription queries from healthcare professionals, including GPs, nurses, and pharmacists.
  • Support the practice pharmacists as needed.
  • Manage medication changes, including removing old medication, adding new, and making dose changes.
  • Effectively manage your time, workload, and resources.
  • Ensure medication reviews are arranged with an appropriate clinician.
  • Support the Prescribing Manager with administrative duties.
Requirements
  • Good level of education to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • Computer literacy with excellent keyboard skills.
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and follow set procedures.
