Lea Vale Medical Group is seeking a skilled Prescription Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing prescriptions, liaising with patients and clinical staff, and providing an efficient system of medication reviews. Key duties include processing repeat prescriptions, dealing with prescription queries, supporting the practice pharmacists, and managing own time and workload. The ideal candidate will have a good level of education to GCSE standard, be computer literate with excellent keyboard skills, and have a self-starter attitude. Previous NHS experience, ideally within a GP setting, is desirable. The successful candidate will work closely with admin and clinical staff to ensure all administration duties and patient requests are processed in accordance with practice policy. The role is varied and requires excellent communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a safe and accurate prescription service to patients, processing both acute and repeat prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with the practice protocol. The role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to develop their skills and experience in a busy medical practice.
