About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Prescription Clerk to join our team at Primary Care Careers. As a Prescription Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice by processing repeat prescriptions, handling prescription queries, and supporting our pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process repeat prescriptions on a daily basis, adhering to our practice protocol.
  • Respond to prescription queries from healthcare professionals, including GPs, nurses, community pharmacists, and nursing home staff.
  • Support our pharmacists as needed, ensuring timely and accurate medication management.
  • Effectively manage your workload, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with our prescribing manager to ensure seamless practice administration and clerical duties.

Requirements

  • Good level of education to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • Excellent keyboard skills and computer literacy.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, following set procedures and protocols.
  • Previous NHS experience, ideally within a GP setting, is desirable.
