National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Automation Specialist in our UK Telecoms Lab (UKTL). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cyber security and networking technologies.


As a key member of our team, you will lead efforts to secure our telecommunications networks, accelerate the roll-out of 5G, and grow our telecoms sector. To achieve this, you will need to possess hands-on experience working with the latest technologies and a strong understanding of their applications.


In this role, you will interact with various stakeholders, including standards bodies, academia, Ofcom, Communications Service Providers, and telecommunication equipment vendors. You will also have opportunities to collaborate with senior government department officials, communications industry leaders, and academic professionals.


We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of £65,000-£85,000, depending on your qualifications and experience. Additionally, we provide opportunities for flexible working arrangements, including hybrid models.
