We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Construction Technician to join our team in Edinburgh and the Lothians. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality property preservation services to our customers.

About the Opportunity:

This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary of £24,575 per annum, plus an OTE of £30,000. You will benefit from a range of perks, including a company van, fuel card, uniform, and tools.

Key Duties:

  • Hack-off ceiling/wall plaster, strip and replace timber wall framing and partitions, install damp proof courses and cavity drainage membrane to industry standards.
  • Carry out timber treatments, including insecticide/fungicide sprays and remedial repairs for dry and wet rot.
  • Remove and renew timber lintels, including bricking back up.
  • Carry out specialist condensation treatments, including loft insulation, painting internal/external walls and installing thermal wall products.
  • Patch plastering may be involved.
  • Strip and replace timber floors, carry out solum sealing, renew door frames, architraves, windows, sills and doors.
  • Splice roof timbers and carry out specialist timber resin repairs.
  • Carry out basement waterproofing work and structural defects repairs, such as wall tie installation and crack-stitching.

Essential Requirements:

  • A full UK Manual Driving Licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points.
