About the Role


The Role


GAP Group Limited are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Apprenticeship Programme as a Plant Maintenance Technician.


As an Apprentice Plant Mechanic, you will be enrolled in a blended learning programme where you will gain an SVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance through a mixture of on-the-job experience and block release training.


The programme covers all the essential skills and principles you will need to become a Plant Mechanic, including servicing and repairing machines and equipment, replacing parts, and checking and calibrating instruments.


You will also study everything from basic engineering skills to the latest technological advancements in electro-hydraulics and computerised control systems.


The Apprenticeship Programme allows you to earn as you learn, with a starting salary of £11,000 per annum for apprentices under 18 and £12,000 per annum for apprentices over 18.


After successful completion of Year 1, you will automatically be placed on the National Minimum Wage rate for your age group, and your salary will continue to increase as you progress through each year of your apprenticeship.
