About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Executive to join our dynamic team at Balens Specialist Insurance Brokers. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving sustainable growth and profitability for our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities from prospect stage to sale, working closely with the wider Balens team.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with introducers and partners, identifying new business opportunities and delivering innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
  • Provide support across the wider Balens team to ensure successful conversion of opportunities.
  • Be a key member of our Events team, delivering workshops, presentations, and networking with attendees, exhibitors, and partners.
  • Collaborate with our Compliance and Agency teams to ensure all regulatory components of relationship management are achieved.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance lead generation, opportunity conversion, and penetration rates.
  • Collaborate with the Balens team to identify and address customer concerns, resolving incidents promptly and implementing improvements based on incident analysis.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and embedding compliance in your work.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a sales-focused role, with demonstrated success in lead acquisition and conversion.
  • Experience in managing client relationships with multiple stakeholders, with a track record of implementing successful customer retention and conversion strategies.
  • Understanding of commercial insurance, knowledge of performance reporting and KPI management, and an analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with negotiation and influencing skills.
