About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Mental Health Support Worker. As a key member of our Penumbra Service, you will play a vital role in delivering supportive interventions and promoting the wellbeing of individuals in Aberdeen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a range of supportive interventions, including relational signposting, 1:1 coaching, and workshops on wellbeing.
  • Actively seek opportunities to promote the service to all communities across the city, drawing on your local knowledge and strong communication skills.
  • Share your unique knowledge and understanding gained from managing your own mental health challenges to inspire hope and belief in recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to promote self-management and opportunities for improved health and wellbeing.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong understanding of mental health and wellbeing, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also need to be flexible and able to work as part of an operational rota to support delivery 9am – 10pm, 7 days per week.
