Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Technology Risk and Controls Manager to join our client's team in Edinburgh. As a member of the technology controls team, you will play a critical role in providing controls and risk management leadership to enable colleagues to make informed decisions. The team is transforming and maturing the Technology Risk and Control framework within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owning, coordinating, and operating various control oversight activities, including the delivery of scheme attestations and annual control testing schedules.
  • Researching, transforming, and improving existing practices.
  • Coordinating and driving responses to attestation and Due Diligence requirements.
  • Providing consultancy and expertise on Control Design and Operating practices.
  • Informing and supporting key stakeholders to make risk-based decisions.

Requirements
Skills and Qualifications
  • Communicating at an advanced level and positively challenging and enabling key stakeholders in discharging their accountabilities in relation to risk management.
  • Working under own initiative to plan, organise, prioritise, and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives.
  • Monitoring, interpreting, and understanding policies and procedures while ensuring they match organisational strategies and objectives.
  • Exploring problems, drawing out implications, and helping clients self-discover and articulate the value of a solution.
  • Identifying, assessing, prioritising, and managing risk.
  • Analysing potential solutions and creating recommendations based on expected benefits, costs, and overall value.
  • Understanding business context, needs, rules, architecture, and organisational structure.
  • Experience in assurance activity, including control testing of key controls.
  • Reviewing, assessing, and remediating access management related controls.
  • Experience with cyber-related risks and issues leveraging NIST framework.
  • Practiced policy, standards, and process reviews, and adherence of first line of defence teams.
