Early Years Teaching Assistant Role in Thame

A top-performing primary school in Thame is seeking a highly skilled Early Years teaching assistant to join their team. As an EYFS specialist, you will be supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons to young children.

The ideal candidate will have a degree-level education and experience working with children. A strong academic background and excellent communication skills are essential for this role. You will be responsible for general classroom support, including preparing and delivering lessons, and helping children with their learning.

This is a wonderful opportunity to develop your classroom experience before completing your teacher training. The Head Teacher is looking for a proactive and personable graduate teaching assistant who can provide exceptional support to the EYFS classes.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing general classroom support to the EYFS classes
  2. Helping the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery
  3. Supporting children with their numeracy and literacy skills
  4. Participating in extra-curricular activities

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a C grade in GCSE Maths and English.
