Job Summary

Sayari is seeking a highly skilled IT professional to lead our IT and security operations in a fast-paced tech startup culture. As our IT Security and Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for managing our IT infrastructure, ensuring robust security measures, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Your role will involve overseeing complex IT projects and driving innovation internally within the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of a robust and scalable IT infrastructure, ensuring efficiency and alignment with rapid business growth.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of IT hardware and software for remote and on-site staff, including procurement, installation, maintenance, and licensing.
  • Provide advanced technical support for corporate systems, diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Develop, enforce, and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines to protect Sayari's IT assets and data.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR), and support security compliance efforts related to security questionnaires and security audits (e.g., SOC 2, ISO).
  • Coordinate third-party security assessments and penetration tests, and manage the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and auditors, ensuring they meet Sayari's security standards.
  • Lead and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Automate routine IT tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Solutions, Data, and Product) to align IT security with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IT and security technologies, trends, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in Sayari's IT infrastructure and security posture.
  • Triage security issues, providing recommended solutions and ensuring timely remediation.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of prior experience in a systems administrator or similar roles managing IT infrastructure, operating systems (preferably MacOS and Linux), MDM tools (e.g., Kandji, Jamf), IT automation, and other web, email, endpoint, and network security technology.
  • Proficiency in SaaS backup solutions, least privilege corporate identity and access management, and virtual desktop infrastructure management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., bash, Python, Go) with a strong desire to automate tasks.
  • Experience managing relationships across all internal departments and external third-parties including VARs, vendors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
  • Obsessive organization and documentation skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • A track record of innovative problem-solving and the ability to propose creative IT and security solutions.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
  • Experience with git, AWS or GCP, docker containers, and/or devops.
  • Experience working at a late stage tech startup or a similarly fast-paced environment.
Compensation

The target base salary for this position is $135,000-$150,000 plus a quarterly bonus and equity. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, candidate experience and expertise, internal peer equity, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
