Accountancy Action is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our accounts team, you will be responsible for managing customer interactions, ensuring timely payment, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed reports on overdue debts and statements of account to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Compile and issue client-specific reports, invoices, and applications for payment to ensure seamless financial transactions.
  • Develop and implement payment procedures and policies to ensure timely payment and minimize bad debt.
  • Resolve client queries and liaise with clients to resolve Purchase orders and invoice arrangements.
  • Manage debtor accounts and chase clients for debts via phone and email to ensure prompt payment.
  • Cash allocation onto client accounts and against outstanding invoices to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Requirements:

  • Strong/Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot table, and Sum if.
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Assertive but non-confrontational approach to resolving client queries.
  • Hands-on approach and self-motivation to work independently.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure.
