We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to play a crucial role in managing our finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts and maintaining healthy cash flow for the organisation.

This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent phone etiquette, and the ability to negotiate and hold difficult conversations.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in credit control or a similar financial role, with a strong understanding of financial management and a keen eye for detail.

Key responsibilities will include credit checking customers, sending welcome information and account details, and liaising with customers concerning delinquent balances.

The Credit Controller will also be responsible for reconciling customer accounts, maintaining the customer database, and monitoring and adjusting credit limits for existing customers.

Additional duties will include following company policies regarding the issue of credit and collection of debt, ensuring potential bad debts are flagged, and assisting to minimise bad debts by the intervention of the sales and legal teams.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, and be proficient in using MS Office, particularly Excel.

The role is based in our Head Office in Capability Green, Luton, working in a hybrid way after probation.

The salary for this position is £25,500.00 per year, with a bonus scheme and a range of benefits including casual dress, company pension, and on-site parking.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, work location: Hybrid remote in Luton.
