Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the store team, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales and profitability goals. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and develop the store staff to deliver exceptional customer service and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and expense control.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and customer engagement.
  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales and service goals.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities for store staff.
  • Assist with recruitment, selection, and training of new store employees.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor costs and inventory levels.
  • Identify and address any operational issues or concerns that may impact store performance.
  • Support the Store Manager in developing and implementing store business plans and strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of retail management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
