Job Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the store team, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales and profitability goals. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and develop the store staff to deliver exceptional customer service and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and expense control.
  • Lead and develop the store team to achieve sales and customer service goals.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor, inventory, and overhead costs.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve store performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement sales strategies and promotions.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Assist with the recruitment, selection, and training of store personnel.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to store employees.
  • Support the Store Manager in maintaining a safe and secure store environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of retail management experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and develop store staff.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation required.
