Job Summary:
The Assistant Store Manager is a key member of the store team, responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving sales and profitability goals. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and develop the store staff to deliver exceptional customer service and drive business results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and expense control.
- Lead and develop the store team to achieve sales and customer service goals.
- Monitor and control store expenses, including labor, inventory, and overhead costs.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve store performance and profitability.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement sales strategies and promotions.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers.
- Assist with the recruitment, selection, and training of store personnel.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to store employees.
- Monitor and control store inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and replenishment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year of retail management experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop store staff.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel via car, plane, or train.
