About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic dental nurse to join our dynamic team at Borders Orthodontics Ltd. As a maternity cover dental nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinicians in the surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clinicians in the surgery, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
  • Contribute to the decontamination of the surgery and instruments, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Work in the Laboratory Department Unit (LDU), providing 3D intra-oral scans of patients and supporting the practice management system (SFD).
  • Perform reception duties, ensuring excellent customer service and a welcoming environment for patients.
  • Following further training, manufacture essix retainers, contributing to the overall success of our orthodontic practice.
Requirements
  • Dental nursing qualification and registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
  • Previous orthodontic nursing experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Ability to work part-time as part of a job share arrangement.
