About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Advisor to join our team at the National Skills Agency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting learners with GCSE delivery and Functional Skills, working closely with a caseload of students to help them achieve their academic goals. This role requires a qualified tutor with a minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in GCSE/Functional Skills, as well as excellent communication and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to learners, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted learning plans.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum and achievement of departmental targets.
  • Monitor learner progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting support strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner engagement and progress, using e-portfolio systems to track student development.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and assessments, ensuring they meet the needs of diverse learners.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Tutor (at least Level 3 specialism)
  • Minimum 2 years' teaching experience in GCSE/Functional Skills
  • Teaching Qualification (at least Level 3)
  • Driving Licence

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
