Abcam, a leading life sciences company, is seeking an experienced Project Delivery Lead to join its Data Science and AI Team in Cambridge, UK.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful and timely delivery of projects while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. This role reports to the AISales Integration Managerand is part of theData Science and AI TeamlocatedinCambridge, UK,and will beon-site.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to driving science forward. The initial contract is for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Coordinate stakeholders, facilitate collaboration, and manage dependencies.
  • Ensure alignment with business goals, success criteria, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks, monitor team capacity and performance, and maintain accurate progress and impact reports.
  • Foster a culture of achievement and continuous improvement, and positivity within the team.

Requirements:

  • BSc, MSc or equivalent experience in a field related to Business Management or Information Technology.
  • Strong experience in project and delivery management in an agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • A positive, open, and inclusive mindset, with a commitment to fostering a collaborative, proactive, and productive work environment focused on progressing together.

Desirable Skills:

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of Sales and Marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, M365 tools, and Lucidchart.
  • Working in an AI or software development environment.
