Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Audit and Accounts Manager to join our client's chartered accountancy practice in Kent. This reputable firm specializes in supporting owner-managed businesses, providing a range of services including statutory audit and accounts preparation.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills, strong analytical abilities, and exceptional communication skills. Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing audits from planning to completion
  • Preparing accounts for diverse clients, including tax computations
  • Leading a portfolio of clients, overseeing resource planning, WIP management, and budget management
  • Building trusted relationships with clients, providing expert support and guidance
  • Delivering commercial awareness, identifying opportunities for fee development
  • Presenting work to partners, ensuring high-quality file completion
  • Staying up-to-date with current legislation and compliance
  • Handling client queries on compliance matters
  • Providing quotes and estimating fees
  • Supporting new business initiatives, attending networking events, and championing new business growth
  • Mentoring trainees, guiding their learning and development

Requirements:
  • The ideal candidate holds an ACA or ACCA qualification, with experience managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SME clients
  • Strong experience in planning and completing audits, analytical reviews, accounts preparation, and work review
  • Proven ability to supervise internal and on-site teams, delivering high-quality service to clients
  • Passionate about work, strong communicator, and detail-oriented, able to meet multiple deadlines
