Dorset Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Lytchett Minster, Dorset. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting students with special educational needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support SEN students in achieving their academic goals, while also promoting social skills and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to create and implement tailored learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and motivation.
  • Establish effective communication channels with students, teachers, and parents to ensure cohesive support and a positive learning experience.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with SEN students, preferably in a teaching assistant or similar support capacity.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices, with a focus on adapting to individual student needs.
  • Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo the check).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is £29,000 - £33,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
