We are a leading education agency currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school.

The successful candidate will support the mental health and emotional well-being of students in a classroom setting, assisting students with special educational needs in their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support student mental health and wellbeing
  • Assist students with SEN in their learning and development
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance
  • Build positive relationships with students, helping them to develop confidence and resilience
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching team
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with mental health needs or SEN is essential
  • A compassionate and patient approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent) are desirable but not mandatory
