We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist to join our maintenance team at the Ethylene Plant in Fife, Scotland.

About the Role
  • Collaborate with the First Line Supervisor to enhance your safety capacity using Personal Safety Management System tools.
  • Tackle a variety of mechanical maintenance challenges with resilience, ownership, and innovative solutions.
  • Partner with the operations team to execute maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Provide input during planning phases and After Action Reviews to continuously improve processes.
  • Perform Root Cause Failure Analysis and collaborate with operations and engineering teams to prevent recurrence.

You will work closely with the operations team to ensure the efficient operation of the plant's equipment and systems.

Requirements
  • A completed NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent in a Mechanical trade (an HNC in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous).
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate field conditions and recommend solutions.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • A passion for eliminating waste in maintenance processes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), with SAP experience being advantageous.
