About the Role

As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to convert prospects into long-term customers. You will work closely with our product development team to ensure that sales efforts are aligned with product capabilities and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand Fermtech's market presence across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
  • Create and develop sales & marketing materials and collateral, including presentations, brochures, and product sheets, to effectively communicate the value of Fermtech's innovative ingredients.
  • Lead the development of pricing strategies that align with market conditions and company objectives, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for potential clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the food manufacturing, retail, and distribution sectors.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities, particularly within the protein and flavour ingredients sectors.
  • Represent Fermtech at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our products and establish the brand in the market.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure that sales efforts are aligned with product capabilities and customer needs.
  • Provide regular reports on commercial performance, including pipeline management, forecasting, and achievement of sales targets.
  • Develop commercial and financial models for the sales and future sales of the business, including potential models used for investment purposes.

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Manager who has a proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies. You should have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a start-up environment.
