Salary: £300/day

About the Role

Hatched Recruitment UK is working closely with local authorities in the Camden area to find a skilled Independent Reviewing Officer. As a member of the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance team, you will work with a diverse caseload, primarily focusing on children looked after and some child protection cases.

You will be responsible for chairing meetings, ensuring the participation of children and young people, and their parents. Your keen eye for scrutiny, auditing, and attention to detail will be essential in monitoring decisions made for Children Looked After and Children with a Child Protection Plan.

The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge of The Care Planning, Placement and Case Review Regulations, 2010, the IRO Handbook, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and London Child Protection Procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chairing meetings and ensuring the participation of children and young people, and their parents
  • Monitoring decisions made for Children Looked After and Children with a Child Protection Plan
  • Conducting audits and ensuring high-quality services are delivered
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements

The successful applicant will need to possess excellent chairing skills, a keen eye for scrutiny, auditing, and attention to detail, as well as good report writing skills. They will also need to have extensive knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures.
