About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Product Engineering to lead our Product Engineering team at 15gifts. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the development of our products and services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership
    • Lead a team of 30 engineers, including 5-8 direct reports, to achieve operational and strategic goals.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Technical Leadership
    • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality products.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements.
  • Product Development
    • Work closely with product managers to understand customer needs and develop products that meet those needs.
    • Lead the development of product roadmaps, ensuring they align with business objectives.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
    • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring it is accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in leadership roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Extensive experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Python programming languages.
    • Knowledge of cloud services, including AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Communication Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
