Job Title: Project Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Financial Controller to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space Limited. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the execution of strategies and ensuring data accuracy and effective communication across teams.

About the Role

The Project Financial Controller will serve as a co-pilot for our organization's financial performance, providing valuable insights to drive informed decision-making. You will be responsible for meticulous planning, analysis, and ensuring compliance with finance processes. This role is critical in raising finance awareness within the business, contributing to our overall success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Finance Business Partner for Telecom satellite production projects, working closely with project managers to ensure clear communication of the EAC baseline and close monitoring of actual costs against the plan.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to Primes, local Work Package Managers, and Project Managers, including forecasting of project resourcing/manpower requirements by work package.
  • Review all financially relevant contractual matters, including Supply Contracts, Works Orders, or Change Notices.
  • Maintain awareness of project Risks and Opportunities and actively support Risk Mitigation and Opportunity Attainment to allow consolidation of Risks and Opportunities at business unit level.
  • Produce monthly financial reporting on project Key Performance Indicators, comparing Actuals against Budget and Forecast.
  • Closely monitor project cash and work in progress.
About You
  • Previous financial experience in a project-based environment is essential.
  • Knowledge of SAP is highly beneficial.
  • Experience working within a large organization is required.
