About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Crisis Responder to join our First Response Service team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop crisis and safety plans to ensure individuals receive the necessary support.
  • Work collaboratively with other mental health services, police, ambulance services, and local authorities to develop short-term contingency plans.
  • Provide evidence-based clinical interventions and make autonomous clinical decisions about your professional practice.
  • Develop and implement brief care and treatment interventions for individual patients within the First Response Service.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Mental Health Nurse Qualification or Social Work Qualification, or adult/LD nursing qualification with mental health experience.
  • Current NMC/HCPC Registration.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience working with people presenting in mental health crisis, multi-agency working, and working within a multicultural framework.
