Job Title: Territory Development Representative

Description

The Territory Development Representative plays a crucial role in the sales process at Varonis, working closely with customers and prospective clients to identify sales opportunities in their assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Varonis' sales process and core products to effectively sell to prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives, Sales Engineers, and Management to determine a strategic sales approach.
  • Identify key decision-makers amongst targeted leads to initiate the sales process.
  • Present and sell Varonis' products and services to current and potential customers through high-volume phone calls.
  • Follow up on leads and referrals resulting from field activity, marketing efforts, and individual prospecting.
  • Support Sales Representatives and Sales Engineers by staying on top of crucial sales activities, including cold calling, booking meetings, and prospecting.
  • Maintain accurate account information and activity detail in the Customer Relationship Management system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College/University and 1+ years of business-to-business sales experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technology industry experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding phone skills and ability to handle a high volume of calls per day.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and gain commitment at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills.
  • Personal drive and internal motivation towards high achievement.
  • Sense of humor.

Certification Test

  • As an incoming Territory Development Representative, you will work through our educational portal and pass our required certifications within two weeks of your start date. During training, you will learn how to pitch the top three roles (Security, Storage, and Windows Admin) and must pass the final, oral certification.
  • This certification is pass/fail. For each Territory Development Representative, a second attempt at passing the certification is allowed after 48 hours of the first attempt. On the second attempt, you must pass. Failure to pass will result in termination.
