Job OverviewWe are seeking a passionate Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our head office in Leeds. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of our projects across Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the commercial aspect for dedicated sites across Yorkshire
- Produce monthly cost and value forecasts
- Prepare, submit, and agree monthly applications for payment
- Ensure cost control is maintained
- Measure and value works carried out on site with precision and attention to detail
- Procure, assess, certify, and reconcile sub-contractor applications
- Track changes to design and capture variations
- Review progress against programme
- Cost value reconciliation on schemes
- Assist in the tendering process
- Provide contract support to Contracts and Site Managers
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Either graduating in 2024 or having recently completed a suitable masters or bachelor's degree from a relevant commercial course, with a minimum grade of 2:2
- Strong mathematical skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Passion for the civil engineering sector
- Strong IT skills and competence with Microsoft tools
- A keen eye for detail
- Punctuality and good time-keeping
