Join Our Team as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor

We are committed to developing early careers and providing opportunities for growth and development. Our Graduate Quantity Surveyor role is an excellent chance to gain insight into various areas of the business and understand the construction process.

As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will be based in our head office in Leeds and will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of your dedicated sites across Yorkshire. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing monthly cost and value forecasts
  • Preparing, submitting, and agreeing monthly applications for payment
  • Ensuring cost control is maintained
  • Measuring and valuing works carried out on site with absolute perfection and detail
  • Procuring, assessing, certifying, and reconciling sub-contractor applications
  • Tracking changes to design and capturing variations
  • Reviewing progress against programme
  • Cost value reconciliation on schemes
  • Assisting in the tendering process
  • Providing contract support to Contracts and Site Managers

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in a relevant commercial course, graduating in 2024 or having recently completed a suitable masters or bachelor's degree
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A passion for the civil engineering sector
  • Strong IT skills and competence with Microsoft tools
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Punctuality and good time-keeping
