Administrative Support Specialist for Medical Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Administrative Support Specialist to provide effective delivery of patient-focused healthcare services within our medical team.
About the JobThis is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication and organisational skills. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing secretarial support and cover for annual leave and sickness, maintaining accurate 18-week referral to treatment pathways for patients, and managing patient investigation results.
You will also be required to transcribe and produce documents from digital dictation, process health records of patients discharged from the hospital and ward round notes, and input and extract data from the patient administration system Cerner, ICE, Winscribe, CRIS etc.
The primary contact for patients under designated consultants, you will communicate effectively and professionally with patients and internal/external departments, receiving and managing telephone and personal enquiries.
Requirements- GCSE English at level 4 or above or equivalent
- RSA/OCR II Typewriting
- RSA/OCR II Word
- RAS/OCR Audio Typewriting stage II
In addition to your administrative skills, you will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work in a team, and use your own initiative to manage priorities under pressure.
Able to keep information confidential and work without close supervision, you will be a flexible and supportive team player who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
