Medical Director Specialist

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Medical Director to join our team at Priory Hospital Kemple View. As an Associate Specialist Doctor, you will work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists to provide continuous medical cover and care for up to 28 patients on the ward.
The successful candidate will have full GMC registration, experience in adult psychiatry, and excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Code of Practice. You will also possess strong assessment and treatment skills, with the ability to interview, assess, and treat patients while writing comprehensive medical notes.
Key Responsibilities- Fulfilling the role of Approved Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983)
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, and strategic reviews
- Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies
