Clinical Lead for Child Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Nurse to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Lead for Child Health, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses and contributing to the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people with complex medical conditions.

About the Role:

  • The post holder will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, working closely with junior staff to develop their clinical skills.
  • They will provide direct patient care and have in-depth knowledge of specialist pediatric areas, such as cardiac, CF, respiratory, metabolic, immunology, endocrine, rheumatology, and tertiary pediatrics.
  • The role involves collaborating with senior Sister/Charge Nurses to ensure exceptional standards of quality care are maintained.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Evidence of written and verbal communication skills
  • Evidence of teaching and assessing ability
  • Clinical competency in named clinical area/specialty
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Proven workload management of self and of others
  • Good analytical and clinical decision-making skills
  • Awareness of clinical governance process
