About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Accountant to join our Financial Accounting team at Queen Mary University of London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for producing the consolidated financial statements of the university and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and best accounting practices.

About You

  1. You are a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) with strong financial accounting skills and a deep understanding of UK GAAP.
  2. You have experience producing financial statements for complex organisations and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
  3. You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and logical approach to completing tasks.
  4. You have a high standard of written communication, demonstrated by experience in producing reports for senior managers and other stakeholders.
  5. You have excellent interpersonal skills, developing effective working relationships with colleagues and key external contacts.

About the Department

The role is based in the Financial Accounting Team, part of the wider Finance Department of the Professional Services Directorate. You will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.
