The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance in the development, implementation, and review of safety arrangements and policies. They will also be responsible for controlling the health and safety policy of the company, ensuring compliance with any changes in legislation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical assistance in the development, implementation, and review of safety arrangements and policies
  • Controlling the health and safety policy of the company, ensuring compliance with any changes in legislation
  • Controlling and organising the health and safety committee
  • Providing and organising health and safety training as requested by management and the safety committee
  • Ensuring the company's risk assessment procedures and processes are in line with current legislation
  • Monitoring health and safety throughout the company, ensuring compliance from all employees and the management team
  • Obtaining advice from external bodies as requested by management or the safety committee
  • Controlling the first aid arrangements of the company, ensuring all first aid representatives have adequate training
  • Controlling the company's accident and incident reporting, liaising with external bodies as and when required
  • Ensuring all employees have the required level of health and safety training
  • Controlling the fire safety procedures of the company
  • Providing a health and safety induction to all new employees of the company
  • Providing assistance in the development of risk assessments associated with the design, manufacture, and implementation of safety policies and procedures
