About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Neonatal Safety Improvement Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Public Health Wales and contribute to the improvement of maternal and neonatal care services in Wales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Maternity and Neonatal Safety Support Programme (MatNeoSSP Wales) in improving the safety, experience, and outcomes of maternal and neonatal care.
  • Work closely with local managers and team colleagues to identify service gaps and implement improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multi-professional groups to facilitate problem-solving and improvement/change potential.
  • Engage local stakeholders in the process of change and ensure their involvement in the improvement of maternal and neonatal care services.

Requirements

  • Education to degree level or equivalent experience in a management role.
  • NMC or equivalent qualification.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Completed or previously undertaken improvement training.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Improvement certification (Improvement in Practice, IHI, Lean etc.).
  • Project management qualification.
  • Experience of coaching and facilitation with multi-professional groups.
