Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Specialist to join our team at the University Hospital of Wales. As a key member of our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill newborns and their families.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in neonatal nursing, with experience in community care and outreach. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement care plans, provide education and support to families, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert neonatal care to critically ill newborns and their families
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide education and support to families, promoting self-care and empowerment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
Requirements:
  • NMC current registration
  • Sufficient band 6 experience in neonatal nursing
  • Strong background in community care and outreach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
