Commercial Operations Director

A leading design studio in London is seeking a Commercial Operations Director to join their team. With a multi-layered approach to narrative-driven craftsmanship, the studio covers fine art, design objects, and the creation of new materials. They work with clients such as high-net-worth individuals, interior designers, brands, and public bodies for public commissions.

About the Role

The studio's work can be found in iconic super-prime real estate, yachts, public spaces, and galleries globally. With 20 years of experience, the studio is now seeking a head of production to support expansion in the business. The role will involve working with the craftsmen day-to-day to improve the performance of the team, throughout the making process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor production and analyze ways of working to improve profitability, saving time and cost.
  • Work closely with design teams, craftsmen, and founders to oversee day-to-day projects.
  • Rigorously review and maintain salesforce, linking production, management, and sales.
  • Develop and deliver a performance-based culture, maximizing efficiency and productivity through process analysis and internal collaboration.
  • Collaborate with senior managers in the development, measurement, and management of individual and team performance goals and KPIs.
  • Analyze current production processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
  • 10 or more years in a production management role in a field related to the industry.
  • Strong experience in personal development.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines.
