Job Title: Head of Lighting and AV

Production Futures is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Lighting and AV to join our team for our upcoming show in Winter 2024.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a senior technical production manager to oversee the lighting and AV systems for our production. The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of technical theatre production, including audio, video, and lighting. They will be responsible for managing the lighting department, scheduling staff, and liaising with training. The role will also involve collaborating with other departments, operating and maintaining lighting and AV equipment, and ensuring equipment safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the lighting department, including scheduling staff and liaising with training.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other departments, including creative directors, producers, and stage managers.
  • Operate and maintain lighting and AV equipment as specified by the creative team.
  • Monitor and record equipment inspection/testing regimes, ensuring equipment safety compliance.
  • Build relationships with suppliers for delivery and ongoing support of show systems.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of lighting and AV installation and show running, preferably in a large-scale theatrical production. They will be a strong communicator and team player, with a broad knowledge of technical theatre production.

Contract Term:

ASAP to February/March 2025
