About the Role

Moffatt & Nichol is a leading global infrastructure advisor seeking a skilled Ports & Maritime Transport Consultant to join our London office team. As a key member of our commercial advisory team, you will provide expert knowledge on the latest trends in container shipping, deliver insights for client reports, and forecast future developments in the shipping industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team's shipping intelligence gathering and reporting, as well as the development and improvement of existing shipping intelligence tools.
  • Coordinate data consolidation and maintain data processing tools in close collaboration with MN's Smart Analytics team.
  • Lead or contribute to the production of high-quality reports, taking ownership and responsibility for deliverables.
  • Conduct directed and independent research for global projects.
  • Create and develop presentation materials detailing analysis and results.
  • Identify and implement innovative ways to present analysis and results.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients and development teams, including representing Moffatt & Nichol at client meetings.
Requirements
  • Candidates with a degree in economics, mathematics, operational research, or a supply chain/transport-related discipline are preferred.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • At least five years of experience with a multinational international shipping or container company is required.
  • Significant industry experience, established relationships, and the capacity to build new connections within the sector are essential.
