About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our football content team at TNT Sports. As the Head of Football, you will be responsible for driving innovation and creativity in our programming, while ensuring alignment with the direction of the sports business and the tone of our channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Content & Production Leadership team to drive innovation and create a strong creative vision for our football programming.
  • Lead and motivate a team of producers, associate producers, and directors to develop new content format ideas and compelling storytelling for our audiences.
  • Oversee the generation of creative ideas to support the direction of football programming and initiate discussions around new ideas and initiatives to increase efficiencies.
  • Work with the department lead to ensure the direction of the football production is aligned with WBD Sports broadcast strategy.
  • Forward plan to provide production and editorial framework for seasonal programming and budgeting.
  • Maintain and develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing WBD Sports.
Requirements
  • Significant production experience within live sport broadcasting.
  • Understanding of the sports television business, subscription television, and sports streaming platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of sports production techniques and industry trends.
  • Strong leadership qualities for managing a team.
  • Excellent understanding of all contributing elements of a live/recorded TV show.
  • Experience managing production budgets.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours in relation to the sporting event.
