Vacancy for Digital Scholarship Leadership

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our digital scholarship efforts and drive innovation in the digital library sphere.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of digital scholarship, digital skills, and the digital library environment, as well as experience in managing and guiding large projects to ensure sustained progress and success.

Key responsibilities will include driving forward digital innovation, leading the digital scholarship team, and providing high-quality services to users.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about people and digital, adept at building relationships, and take pride in providing quality services for all.

Requirements

  • Level 6 qualification or equivalent professional experience
  • Excellent knowledge of digital scholarship, digital skills, and the digital library sphere
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the changing HE environment, especially the role of digital technologies and the impact on scholarship, teaching, and learning
  • Ability to work under pressure, find innovative and practical solutions to problems, and involve all members of the team in the delivery of user-focused, high-quality services

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to take the helm of our digital teams and drive forward digital innovation and scholarship. The successful candidate will be part of the Senior Leadership Team within the Library, Archives and Learning Services and will help set the overall direction for the Services.

The role will also play a key part in wider University initiatives and will be passionate about people and digital, adept at building relationships, and take pride in providing quality services for all.
